It has been an interesting time back home, and a bit of a culture shock after living in St. Louis for about 6 years. I have finished everything I set out to do, so now I am just sitting around and waiting. Fortunately, I will be going on a vacation to Sicily & Southern Italy, which will cut into my waiting around.
However, I did also find out today that the quick method for a new path will not work since I was not accepted, yet it was the option that I was the most unsure of. It is presently a true time of waiting for me.
The Italy trip went very well. It was eventful, insightful, and I was the only one on the trip who was not ill in some form.
3 nights in Palermo. 1 night in Agrigento. 1 night in Ragusa Ibla. 3 nights in Syracusa. 2 nights in Taormino. 3 nughts in Ravello. 2 nights in Napoli.
The food & wine was excellent! The sights were interesting, with many sections closed off for whatever reason. There was a cold spell, so the weather was not the best; there was snow and abnormally low temperatures for most of the time in Sicily.
