What a weekend.

Right now, it's storming outside so badly, there is zero visibility and you can't drive. Neat thunder and lightning flashing up the sky.

So about last night....I wish I could say that I was impressed, but I wasn't. DB and Dara, I give them credit, they were into what they were doing, however, the mixing was sloppy, the track selection was boring and random. I will blame the sound system for a great deal of it, but maybe the new tunes out there just don't do it for me. They sounded muffled, way too many subs going on for me. No highs, all lows. Weird. The crowd was going off, but I was pissed that they were put in the side room, why the hell do promoters think that's it's ok to put jungle on the back burner, and put crappy local dj's in the main room? Never ceases to amaze me no matter what city I'm in.

So Friday night was my one and only experience doing that. The dancing part wasn't the problem, it was the commentary and interaction that I had the problems with. I'm sorry, but no matter how much money it would have been, it's still not worth it. You can't polish a turd, period.

So I'm off to look for another job tomorrow, so let's see what happens. I'm currently in the SG chatroom talking to fzylogic, but there are other people in the room, and I think they're idle or something.

So today was the day that I finally saw the movie Real Genius. Trading Places was on simulteneously, but I wanted to see young Val Kilmer, who was a hottie.

I'm still stunned about O's revelation. Yippee. Out of all the people I thought we'd never see do a set, it was either her or Missy. You go, O.
