The weekend has gone by way too quickly. Not that I had it off or anything, but I can't believe that it's Sunday.

Today was filled with a lot of gallavanting around town. I had the dress rehearsal today for the very first fashion show that I will be participating in this Friday the 12th. I'm excited, because my outfit is really exquisite and fits perfectly, so thank goodness for that. However, I've never done runway before, so it should be interesting considering I have to navigate in a pair of 7" heels. Practice makes perfect, right?

The fashion designer that I'm modeling for, well, get this, her brother has one of those new VW GTI's, the 337. One of my dream cars.

Here is a description of the car: In spite of the power upgrade for the VR6, the late arriving, special-edition GTI 337 equipped with the 1.8T and a six-speed promises to be the most serious driver's car in the lineup. Based loosely on a 25th anniversary-edition GTI recently offered in Europe (to commemorate the car's original birth there in 1975), the 337 features 18-inch BBS wheels, 225/45VR18 performance rubber, a ground effects kit, tinted taillights, red brake calipers, genuine Recaro seats, Monsoon sound and red stitching for the steering wheel, shifter and parking brake handle. Someday this car will be mine!! However, there's nothing wrong with my current ride, a '95 black GTI. Her name is Cricket, because she looks like one, and sounded like one (before the valve job) I love my little car.

I've been reading a lot lately, anyone know about Marion Winik? I guess she's on NPR (All Things Considered) and I just found her gem of a little book called 'Rules for the Unruly' and I must say that it's a very witty and enjoyable read. Perfect for my ADD, yet serious enough to really get me pondering all the choices I've made so far, and the resulting consequences.

By the way, dressing room mirrors are absolutely EVIL. I went to Old Navy today to try and score some cheap threads for this new job I start on Thursday, and the only things that fit were in the kids section. No dice for a work uniform, so tomorrow I am going to some favorite thrift store haunts in my relenless pursuit.

So long and thanks for all the fish.
