Happy Friday.
Last night I had nightmares that Don Henley was trying to suffocate me in my sleep, which translates to: I was so sick that I couldn't breathe, and the alarm was set to some classic rock station playing an Eagles marathon. Whew.
A closet full of clothes and NOT a thing to wear is the current situation. Since I cured my farmer's tan, I've been loathe to wear short sleeves, even though it's getting to be hotter than hell. What to do, what to do.
I'm sooo excited to come to LA, but the anxiety is mounting about my friend subleasing my apartment. Yes, I am proud to admit that I still have an apartment to kill for in LA, but what price peace of mind if he can't even hold his end of the bargain? Losing Mr.Cat was not what I anticipated, and what should I do when I find him? I CANNOT take him to Minnesota, and I don't think any of my friends would take him in? :-(
Would the pound be a safer place for him? I don't want to have to do that, I made a vow to be a responsible pet owner, as so many nitwits are not. It's a life, not some disposable accessory that my so-called friend apparently seems to think he is (my cat, I mean) So sad am I.
So since I am going on this roadtrip for a few days, does anyone want me to send them a postcard from someplace? I think I'll be passing through Iowa, Alabama, etc. and I think it would be a hoot to send some important bills from Alabama, yes, that would really throw them off!
For those of you LA folks, what are some of your favorite places in Los Feliz? I am partial to Fred 62 because of the convenience, I don't mind House of Pies, and I like that groovy Japanese restaurant with the super cheap fake sushi and teriyaki. You know, the one next to the Los Feliz Three theater? I can see that block perfectly from my rooftop! And oh how I've scored at that cheapie store called Lucky Fashion in the Barnsdall Square (with the Rite Aid and Fatburger)
Ah, the memories. I used to love going to the Children's Hospital thrift shop, in fact, that's where I got my Girl Scout uniform!! But as of late, I guess the deal is that they have some arrangement with movie wardrobe people and stylists so the truly choice stuff is unavailable! Bwaaaaa.
Speaking of, if I were to theoretically do a photo set inspired by SG, do you think I could get away with wearing an ACTUAL GS uniform? Hmmmm....the possibilities....

So a35mmlife, I don't know if you read the thread on the old boards about how you and I both went to Culver City High School around the same time? I remember your sister, and it certainly is such a small world.
