Today was a dizzying blur of applying for jobs and running around town.

Tomorrow I am going out for a spa receptionist position that I really hope I get. Hey, nothing wrong with discounted Aveda products, right? How nice it would be to pamper myself and be really girly and get facials again.

Maybe I've been on this manic reading spree or something, but I went to library and checked out a few more books to replace the ones I have been just flying through. What category of books do you read the most? Non-fiction, fiction bestsellers, what? It always seems like I am getting non-fiction books, mostly of the philosophy and how-to range...including some career instructional guides. What I really wanted to find this time was the Portuguese language audio tape course thingie, but alas, it was checked out again. My understanding of Spanish is pretty good, even though I don't speak it well, and I was trying to teach myself Portuguese because of this crazy Brazilian paramour of long ago. Well, he fell by the wayside, but my love of the Portuguese language, both Brazilian and Continental dialects, stayed with me all these years. I just find it incredibly sexy, I stayed with the Brazilian boy far too long just because of his incredibly sensual accent, it was like he would make love to the words as they came out of his mouth.

The SG updates are making my head spin! WOW, how are we so worthy as to receive soo many updates? Wheeeeee.

I'm reading Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood right now. It's awesome. I read all kinds of stuff: fiction, true crime, forensic science, comics, etc. I just love it all. I'm having a LONG relationship with the book 'Of Human Bondage,' but it's one of those books you read really slow to take every single word in. I've been reading it for three years.
