Went to the burlesque show. Not sure what to say about it. Interesting, enlightening, I had no idea what this community is really about. Seems that there are several different factions of SG people - some I identify with on some level and some not at all. And all of it ... is this different than 80's hair-metal videos with girls in wet t-shirts dancing on cars? I'm not sure. But I still love my Fractal and support what she does and think she's amazing, so that makes things extra extra complicated. And I can't say there isn't a part of me that would thrive on that attention ... in fact, I do, when I do my performances. In any case, I was stoked to get free make-up, and hang out with my friends, and learn something new.
