the fair was nice. didn't buy anything, though i thought i would. i really had my eye on that indoor grill...i love grilled vegetables....without the charcoal hassle that is. but it basically looked like an anodized hubcap and at the highway robbery price of 40 bucks, i demurred.
went to a funeral on monday. not so much fun, though he had a nice turnout. isn't it funny when someone dies, and everyone comes out of the woodwork to say nice things? i hope when i die, i get put in a nice shady spot with a view, not so much for me, but for those who might want to come and sit on a nice cool stone on a hot day and contemplate what's truly important in life. that becomes pretty clear in a cemetary.
p.s. i'm not sad, just thoughtful.

I'm thinking I might want to be cremated. It's too bad I couldn't be dumped at sea to be food for the crabs and fish. I'd like that. I'm not sure how much family and friends I'll have when I go.
