i am seeing a lot of people i really admired leaving the site and it makes me sad. i've learned a great deal about people in my dealings with others, whether it be by writing in their journals or reading their comments on the boards and being blown away at how spot on people are sometimes- saying what i think or feel in a way that i just couldn't articulate. guess i'll just have to extend my search for cynical, self deprecating, intelligent and funny people again. glad to have all of you though....


the job is not surprisingly overwhelming, but the future took a hard right towards good today. my regional director sat me down and said we'd be talking in two weeks about something that he thinks will make me very happy going foward in fiscal Q1 after our realignment of all the stores in the region (i'm a starbucks girl..) so i can only hope that means i'm getting promoted to be a dm very soon. so YAAAY ME it's nice to know that the stress and hassle wasn't for naught, and that good things do come to those who wait. (we'll see about that in two weeks though...cross your collective fingers for me.)


i want to be free of all distractions tommorow and fill up an entire card on my digital camera with "keeper" shots. I may go to the races, or the beach, or both. to be near the ocean, to feel the breeze (because it's about as hot as a butt crack most days around my area) is exactly what i need. that, and an adult bevvy at some later point this evening. hope all is well with you.
