it rained this afternoon... Rotten Sockets and i were out running/walking when the first little droplets came down.. it's nice to have respite from the early, oppressive heat. i actually used my fireplace too...watched csi tonight..i am continually amazed at how much i love that show and how much forensics and crime scene investigation fascinates me. sure, i know that it doesn't wrap up that readily and sometimes the cases must be extremely dull and routine, and of course the real csi's couldn't possibly all be that attractive... but still fascinating.
i also helped make an angel food cake with fairly disasterous results... at least when you bake something and it doesn't come out of the pan like the (very explicit do-not-grease- the- pan) directions said it would, it's still tasty, as long as you don't burn it.
i am feeling hopeful, and the sad songs didn't make me feel much of anything today.. i think it's a good sign. i want to turn the corner so bad, but sometimes the long walk to get there is what you have to just settle down and do.
