I found out a couple hours ago a friend of mine died. His parents just found out this morning. He was found o.d.'d in a hotel room in downtown Vancouver by a housekeeper.
This guy had been in trouble with drugs before. Then he straightened himself out, took over the family carpentry business after his Dad got diagnosed with Alzheimers. He was out visiting a bunch of us in Victoria this past weekend.
His family lives down the block from mine. I can't imagine how they feel.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've had a couple friends pass away tragically and I know that it can be a very surreal experience for you.
