so while my set was going up today i was busy lifeguarding the east river.
yep. some asshole decided to make a movie and shove some poor girl into the east river. so i got up at ass in the morning to go freeze outside all day. and then i dealt with assholes, losers, and retards. the bastards wanted to attach a weight to the actress to keep her from being moved by the tides. yeah. let's weight a girl down in the east river... smart guys, real fuckin smart. so everyone look out for a short independant film called "mother" to be coming out at some point in the future.
may i just make mention of how glad i am that i didn't have to touch the east river? and that i've had my tetnus shot?
i also found out yesterday that my great grandmother died.
she was definitly one of my favorite people. she reminded me of emma goldman. she was also 97, so it's not like it was unexpected. i miss her though. she was a fighter to the end- she had recently beaten the shit out of a lady at the nursing home i was so proud.
in calling my grandfather regarding my great grandmother, i heard that my grandfather is quite ill as well.
so i then called my brother- his kitten is sick and in the hospital on iv's.
all things considered, people seem to have a pretty good attitude.
oh. and thank you all for the love. it made my day, given all the bleakness. it was nice to come home from a day of dealing with stupid people to lots of lovin.
