Yeah, it was stapled, but a week after the surgery they took the staples out and it was infected. Now they have to let it drain. (Which I think is so gross.)

gross, for sure. that happened with my brother's hand. he broke it a few months ago and they had to go in and rebreak the bone to set it because he was an idiot and didn't go to the doctor for about a month. when they took the stitches out, it was infected so they had to let it "air out" so to speak. pretty horrible, but from what i gather it's not all that uncommon for that sort of thing to happen either. i wouldn't be too worried about it.

but i'm a worrier too, so i fully realize how hypocritical and inoperative that statement is.
