The last few nights I have been riddled with crazy dreams. I don't remember them much past a few minutes of wakefullness. But they affect me in the dead of night.

It's been hot during sleepy-time here. To wake up sweating after so much cool weather seems like I'm in a different country.

The heart has been acting up too. Nothing like lying in your...

Yeah, don't you go changing your name. It's awesome. It suits you biggrin

Friends are indeed cool. Thank you for being my friend smile
chancy:
so i bought the matt dusk album i was telling you about before... the sinatra-esque singer i was telling you about... wow eeek love

the guy i was asking the question about is my best friend... we met about 1 1/2 months ago and clicked right away. then he made that compatibility comment (he'd just come out of a relationship though) even though it's so obvious we're great together... maybe i'm just missing something.

today we met his friend and fiancee for a drink, and then went home to sit in the warm sun while he played guitar and i tried to remember the words to the songs... then he went out on a quasi-date and afterwards came over to watch a movie. ???????

sorry for the novella blush

Well that was fun.

Little trip down journal memory lane. Interesting to see how I evolved as an SG persona. And how nice everyone continues to be on this site! I feel truly blessed that I connect with pretty much everyone on my friends list as often as possible. You people are great. Thanks for being you.

Easter dinner was a success:
Ham, roasted potatoes, a green bean mix, spinach mandarin orange avocado salad, and cheesecake. With Orangina/Champagne cocktails for the gals and beer for me. Finished off with shots of vodka.
We actually cooked food for people (okay, one person) and they didn't die. Nor did we. Awesome.
Hope everyone had a good time.

After all my self-professed musical ineptitude I found myself at the Troubadour on Santa Monica Blvd. last night with my brother. Since he's leaving tomorrow he guilted me into going to see Stars, a group I had never heard of (no shock there). We made friends in line, at the bar, and while he had a smoke. Together we are an unstoppable force.

Oh, and...

Back on the block.

Nebraska was...cold.

There were many reasons to do nothing but drink there, but the cold was the main one.

We did have fun. The wedding was relatively painless and the reception was enjoyable. An open bar usually ups my opinion of an event, even if they water the hell out the hard stuff.

We also had a birthday celebration on Sunday....

Well, the weekend was a success. Dad liked his gift and all the errands got done.

It's pretty amazing to me how an influx of money creates a necessity to dispose of it. No matter how comfortable you think you may be, you can always be more so.

Well, my weekend is almost here (finally).

It should be a good one, with some family stuff happening tomorrow. Dad's B-Day dinner. Shopping for his gift with the brother-man before that. It reminds me of the old days, when we all lived under the same roof. Good times.

Then Monday (my Sunday) is all about getting ready for the out of town wedding. I think...

So it is never too late to acquire new musical tastes, and that does not mean that you have to lose the ones that you already but, just add to the things that you already like making your self more of a Renaissance Music Man.

So, here is a recommendation for you. Start out with something like: VNV Nation's Epicenter CD. There is a song on there called Dark Angel, and I think you'll like that.

Good luck. If you like it, let me know and I'll recommend you something else next time!

Hope you ended up having a good weekend!

I only have one pet peeve at work and I has happened four times in the last four working days. It's like some evil genie knows I hate the hell out of people being late to relieve me and has decided to tormet me. Why? Why, I say?!
