So last night a group of us went out to dinner to send off my best friend. He's moving back to OK, driving out there as we speak. The food was great, we all had a laugh, and it wasn't even that expensive.
We all came back to my place for about two mintues. Hugs and goodbyes, no tears but a little twinge of sadness. Then I watched "Lost" to get my mind off it.
It's funny how you re-connect with old and new friends at these send-offs. Plan to see a movie with the old friends, plan a poker night with the newer ones. Oh, and see you later, old pal. We'll all be hanging out and having a great old time without you. Meh.
Why didn't we all break bread before?
