2nd Cuts
It's been a crazy work week, but I managed to be home and parked in front of the TV long enough yesterday to get all the SYTYCD goodness I needed. Totally bummed however. She was good and pretty, but I guess not enough of either. Oh, and goodbye, Russian dude. Ballroom only gets you far if you have crazy abs you love to show off repeatedly.
Caitlin stays at the top for me. The Shane Sparks routine wasn't hugely popular with the judges, but I thought it fit her well and she looked good doing it. Important point, there.
Karla goes way up for me this week. I don't know, there's just something about her that really speaks to me. And anyone in a number that induces "Deely Chills" is good by me.
Melissa looked amazing this week and kept up with the crazy fast/strong Ade. It's sort of an odd pairing, but it seems to be working out.
Kayla is just so damn good at everything she does. Sometimes that type of perfection loses you fans, but she seems to be doing okay so far.
Jeanine so needs a better picture than this, dammit. She's much, much lovelier than this. To watch her so effortlessly glide around the number while Phillip struggled was pretty impressive. How could she do so well with such a lost and weak partner? Don't get me wrong, I thing Phil is super talented, but he was seriously rough in that routine.
Janette gets big props for almost eating shit during the routine and still keeping it together. Sure, any dancer worth their salt should be able to do that, but a surprising number of them can't. Way to go indeed. Oh, and she needs to do a crazy lift in every routine or I'm calling somebody.
Randi moves up mainly because I've just sort of given up on Asuka. She's got a sense of humor that I like and can move. I like the pairing she has and it'll be interesting to watch the midgets take on different styles. This picture still gives me nightmares, though.
I'm over her. She was amazing this week, and showed great strong emotion in a piece that required it, but I'm just over her. Of course this means she'll be around for a while now. As long as they start making her costumes a little smaller I should be okay with that.

Albertsons! Last time I left and went to Vons where it was around $14. Funny because they had a big banner outside saying they slashed prices! Seems like they could rethink that one a little bit - the toilet paper was discounted to $4.95 - I think that is about normal!
