Ok Ladies and Gentleman,
Here is the topic for the evening, or at least one of the many bits and pieces bouncing around my head. So I have been thinking about time a lot lately, mostly about the lack there of. One of the most nagging aspects of this so-called adult life is the intense desire to learn everything about everything. At one time I wanted to be a linguist, so I spent all my free time chugging through books, dictionaries, and whatever else I could find to learn more about not only languages, but their origins and how they related to each other. During that time I was going to school, had a full time job, and friends to look after, but I still managed to get though at least a book every few days. So now we come to today.
I try and split my time between work and friends, no school now a days, and never quite have enough time to get the things done that I feel I need to. Not to say I don't get enough done, I had a phenomenal 2004, I learned a lot, traveled a bit and grew personally and professionally.
I really don't know where I am going with this. I guess there are a ton of things I want to get done this year and I worry about how I will squeeze them all in and still be employed and have friends that still know my name.
Sp here is the short list:
1. Mardi Gras New Orleans (Booked)
2. St. Paddys Day Boston (Booked)
3. Pamplona (Workin on it)
4. Remove time black holes and their drama. (Complicated)
5. Learn HTML and 7 or 8 other computer languages (Lofty)
6. Learn to budget ANY part of my finances (Improbable)
7. Learn Spanish again and pick up a little Italian and French
Ok that is just a bit insane the more that I look at it. Well I guess I will just have to raise the bar.
So is anyone else living under the perceived pressure of never having enough time to get the things you feel you need to do done?
