Well we've made it to February, and there's snow outside the window (yes even here on the south coast), it must be strange times not least of all because this is my second blog of the year, and a rare occurrence for me to blog two months in a row.
There's also some good news in the air, it's been a long wait, but finally I have a new set up and live as of yesterday, and another going live tomorrow. So for this blog, I thought I'd focus attention to the UK hopefuls this time around, and some of the really excellent sets that I've seen on SG recently (and I might add a bit of shameless self promotion at the end...) So without further a-do, and in no particular order:
Firstly, @boowho with Go Go Gryffindor shot by @rouge This set is wonderfully shot and beautifully thought through. Boowho has a certain aura, look and warmth which just perfectly suits this set and which shines through each shot so well. Go give some love on this set and see if we can turn her pink.
Secondly, @minnie3 with Little Bedroom Set This is her first set and I think self shot. She has captured her personality so well in this (weird and wonderful as Minnie states in the blurb). It's well worth checking out this set, it's doing very well already, but hit the like button and add some more to that. Great little concept captured so nicely, and I look forward to see more.
Third up, @stellabojcic with Blue Leia Another first set, and strong debut. Check this set out, it's a cute set, playful set, she has a lovely outfit, there's bags of nice light, and it's a nice bedroom setting. Here's hoping the next set isn't too far away and turning pink on the horizon.
Fourthly, @luna_lou with Little Ginger Buscuit shot by @darkmoonmedia I just love how warm and inviting this set is, but also manages to keep a huge slice of edgy cool. The colours across the whole set just so well compliment each other, and LunaLou's hair matched with that wooden chest is perfect! Striking looks and stunning ink, well shot, well posed, and Luna has the best camera gaze.
Fifthly, @violetgrey with Wake me up when Isolation Ends shot by Stoke Parker. A nice and inventive set, I like the setting, and I'm guessing the neighbours got a show to watch during shooting... VioletGrey has done a great job of capturing the moment here, with effortlessly good posing, a camera stare in to the soul, and an almost movie-like feel (in my mind at least).
And now on to the shameless self-promotion... I was lucky enough to get to shoot the first set from @altamy back before we all locked down. It's been a wait for it to go live, but Little Red finally has. Please give her a follow, and click some love for her debut set. Lockdown I know has unfortunately delayed her getting more sets uploaded, but she is very focussed on SG and we should now start seeing more from her soon. Also, she has a great taste in music!
