I made apple and walnut pie with splenda tonight...yay for healthy yummy goodness.
something is wrong with my (and my Dad's) dog. he had something similar about 6 months ago and it passed, the vet bill that time was $150.00 to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong with him, today I brought them a poo sample to test since they wanted me to do that last time and I never did. that only cost me $19.40. sometimes he doesn't seem too bad, and has more energy but he's not doing stairs, jumping up onto the couches/chairs/ etc. and he just wants to sleep, he's pretty lethargic. I brought him to work with me today so I could watch him and he stayed on his big pillow with his toy most of the day and slept or rested, usually he'll bark when people come in (the back room) but he didn't even lift his head. I'm not sure if he's sad/depressed about not having Tony (my now ex-husband) around, mad at me for not seeing him saturday night and letting him sleep over my house ( like we always do) or if he got stuck under my Dad's recliner or if my Dad or his girlfriend tripped over him at some point. he's not sensitive to the touch and doesn't seem to have any external discomfort. I thought he might be constipated or have a bowel obstruction but he's pooping. (sometime he likes to eat Q-tips...that worries me that it'll get stuck or tear/perforate something inside him) maybe he has a doggy flu, but he's not eating grass, so I think pretty much rules that out. he will be 8 yrs old in Dec. so I know arthritis is a concern, but the vet didn't seem to think that was the problem last time, and these 2 "episodes" are so sudden and random I'd think arthritis would be more of a constant issue.
I dunno, anyways, I'm going up to bed. I hope to sleep like a baby tonight since I was up worrying about Dusty all night last night.
tomorrow I have to go to the courthouse and file an ammendment to my divorce so I can get my maiden name back.
