the cat shelter I volunteer at made $775 today in adoptions and "on hold" payments for kittens. woo-hoo!
we had 3 cats/teen kittens get adopted and go home and a whole bunch of young kittens put "on hold". now we just gotta wait till they are a little older and get them spayed and neutered then they can go home. the vet does it by weight, so usually around 6-8 weeks.
thats what pisses me off.....when people tell me their cat is 6 months old and in heat, and now they have to wait to have her spayed. yeah wait till she slips out of the house gets knocked up by 3 males and has a litter of 7 of which 1 or 2 will die because she's too young to be having kittens and they were born with their health compromised because she wasn't old enopugh or healthy enough to carry kittens, not to mention the toll nursing them will take on her. the Mom cat can have poor bone density due to the lack of nutrients during her own developmental months. and more likely to develop mamory tumors. we had a 5 yr old cat brought to us this past winter, she was mean and nasty, we thought she was preggo but when the vet checked her she had massive tumors all over her stomach/nipples. we had her put to sleep and an exploratory autopsy done, and she was loaded with tumors. it turned out she had litter after litter since her 1st heat. 3 or 4 litters a year. if she wasn't in so much pain Ibet she would've been a nice cat.

went dancing last night with one of my closest friends, she took me to a brazilian dance club, 99% of the music was in spanish (or brazilian??? I thoguht it was the same but apparently it's different???) my friend ended up hooking up with a guy she deemed "hott" he was ok looking, but obviously only looking to get lucky. we went to his appartment and he had a pool table in his living room, so we shot pool, which I suck at, them played darts which I also suck at but managed to get a "double bullseye" and ultimately won the game. she wanted to stay there so I left. turnes out she had a nice time
before the club we went out for sushi, yummy! then when she called today the first thing she said was "I'm craving sushi" lol I had just eaten some about 10 min. before, so I had to rub it in her face!!! I don't know why I have this major craving for sushi so much lately.
