well my "root canal" tooth is beginning to crack open like an egg, oh what a feeling....the fun, the joy. I have to go back next week and have the root canal finished, for you kids who've never had this joy, what happens is....you have a toothache, really bad, like none other, your dentist tells you that you need a specialist, you go see the specialist who is very nice and explains that root canals should be painless, and anytime ther is pain it is because the infection in the root of your tooth is acidic and will neutralize the 25 shots of novicaine that she will give you while attempting this procedure. don't worry the shots are bacically painless after the first 2 or 3. then she will tell you that since the novicaine isn't working she wants you to take antibiotics 4 times a day for a week, and 800 mg motrin 4 times a day for a week as well, this is to stop the infection and stop the swelling and pain. then you get a temporary medicated filling and leave with a big numb swollen jaw, and another appointment to have the work finished. 2 days later the crack in your tooth...the whole reason why your tooth is infected, will begin to open up like an egg, and little bits of your temporary filling will fleck off every now and then. I'm suspecting that the piece will wait till after business hours on friday...of Christmas weekend... to bust off, leaving me with a big stupid hole that'll probally hurt like a mutha fucka!
