anyone who knows me knows I'm a concert junkie.....I love them, live for them, need to be there...etc....
and if you know me you know that I primarily listen to rock/metal that type of stuff.
and if you know me really well, you know I'm a closet fan of other genres of music. there's certain acts I will go see live but I wouldn't own the cd, or listen to them on a regular basis, but they're talented and put on a great performance. *cough* Britney Spears *cough*
so this week (Monday) I went to see Neil Diamond with my Mom for the 3rd time, he's so thoughtful...playing in December when he tours the area, she's a HUGE fan and her Birthday is in Dec (Tuesday...couldnt've been more perfect) so I've taken her as a Birthday gift, the first time I did it as a treat for her, and it turned out I knew over 1/2 the songs he played, so I had a blast. the 2nd and 3rd shows were fun too. the 2nd time we went was the Dec. after Sept 11th, and he did a huge speech right before playing "Coming to America" it made me cry.
anyways...last night I went to see KoRN, I've seen them so many times I can't even count (maybe 15 or so...or more???), and they were playing the Palladium in Worcester, I HAD to go, I'd be pissed if I'd missed a small venue show with them. and I was treated to a great show...their playing wasn't very tight, but it had the club feel there and I knew it was more of a warm up before their big tour next year, so I was Loven' it!
Jonathan Davis is a strange egg though...I can't decide if he's a dick, has stage anxiety, or what but he barely talks with the crowd anymore. he said some nice Thank you's at the end, and his voice was kinda tired sounding when he spoke (as opposed to singing) so maybe thats why he doesn't say much. I dunno. Rob Zombie had some similar stage burnout type of behavior the last time I saw him on tour, kinda like he was just going throught the motions. maybe he's feeling that .... but its the start of the tour for their new album, so it must be mental or something else...
so let me tell you about the tickets I just bought.....Queen with Paul Rodgers, and Nine Inch Nails!!!! *WOOT*
its snowing like a mutha-fucka here, our salon is closed for the day...which is sweet cuz I don't have to drive in this crap, and I can do shit around the house. I should go to the Pharmacy and pick up
Snowkatt's prescription, and some other crap we need. but I dunno, its so shitty out....I did shovel an assload of snow a little while ago, but I'm sure its all back now.
I'm making BBQ ribs in the crock pot. yummy!
its blck_flwrsplease's Birthday today....so give him some love & 29 spankings

Seriously...from Neil Diamond to Korn to Queen to NIN......an eclectic taste in music like that rivals even MINE.
