Right now i'm visiting Rochester, NY to see my friends! Perhaps a continuation of my "Holy cripes I'm 26!" crisis. It's been fun! Today I saw a lecture with the creators of "Make" and "Craft" magazines, they also started boingboing.net and that was pretty cool

earlier in the day i was waiting for a friend to ge tout of some important dinner i wasn't invited...

TNG was more character-driven. I that's why teh laydeez like it so much better. However, TOS is all around ridiculous and gives it own special flavor of WIN. It's all even really.

funemployed is my favourite new word, i think. love it! i want to be funemployed but i'm torn. responsibilities... regrettabilities... gramophones! what? that's amazing. i guess there are a lot of broken ones around.

Around the time I'd discovered the great bike trails around Rochester, NY and had found my first dilapidated salvation army bike with useless gears, probably in 04 the world of gearless biking was brought to my attention. And it didn't take long for the girl who'd helped me into riding fixed showed me a fantastic website, called theFGE.com.

The FGE, or The Fixed Gear Enthusiasts...

Dam right I deserve a new suit. You do too.

I get mine from ebay or this tailor here in LA that will make you a completely bespoke 60's style tonic suit for around $400. No joke.
mellythepirate:
lol this post is amazing.

i think i added you because you were from nyc and seemed cool. i don't think we've talked either. but regardless. we are now friends.

maybe you can get one of those guys who does custom designs on the street for hats and shoes to do something for underwear? just a thought.

i just spent 200 dollars on a 12 dvd set of a collection of van beuren cartoons from the 1920's and 30's. they were fleischer's biggest east coast competitor and weird as all get out.

http://journeytojohnsbrain.blogspot.com/2009/02/wild-goose-chase.html

i'm totally okay with spending 200 dollars that's going directly to an eccentric collector/historian who sought all these out on 35 mm and transferred them over to dvd. these...

today has been a rather good day for things like cutting the sleeves off a jacket i found at a second hand store, watching alien 4 [which was way better than i anticipated!] and now i'm tackling the especially nerdy task of animating while watching the extended cuts of the lord of the rings movies [i don't remember which i've seen, and i know i've...

over the course of the last couple days i drove a moving van full of my friend's stuff from new york to alabama. i'd been storing it in my room for a couple weeks. she'd actually left the city some months ago...

it's a rather confusing circumstance, though mixed with my penchant for nonsense and compulsion to help, it makes a bit more sense.

short...

what was your tour about?

Ah well please do keep me up to date on your projects! I am interested, truly.

I do get what you mean about not wanting to stay in any situation for too long. I'm very much the same way. I think 'itchy feet' is the phrase most commonly used.. and indeed if you're still in New York at the time, I do hope that you'll come and see me perform. I'll put you on the list.
