My former home state of Louisiana is in a desperate state of turmoil. My friends and family are safe and doing their best to assist with the overwhelming need of Katrina Evacuees. I have little money to give and can not afford the means to get home to help. My band, Raised Under Reagan, has recently started a group called Punk For Life to provide assisstance. We started as a myspace group just yesterday and already have nearly 200 members. I want to bring the effort to this site as well and have submitted a group request. I also intend to launch a website in the near future. I would appreciate any help anyone is willing to give.

Punk For Life is a non-profit, non-political coalition of artists, activists, and humanitarians. It was founded by punk band Raised Under Reagan to procure humanitarian assistance for victims of Hurricane Katrina in their former home state of Louisiana and other effected regions as well.

We are currently seeking any and all artists and volunteers willing to donate their time and talents to raise money for Katrina victims. Any venues willing to offer their space to host benefit shows are encouraged to please join and post. Members are encouraged to network with one another to organize events and efforts.
