Whoo-hoo. So, yeah...it's been a little while since I've updated this. Been busy as of late. Licking my wounds, visiting some friends and family. I went back home to Shreveport, LA to attend a friend's wedding. That town has gotten even worse since I left it about two years ago. Anyway, it was good to see some friendly faces.
I also visited my father in Texarkana, TX. Which was cool because (other than my brother's wedding) I haven't seen my Dad since I left Shreveport. God has it really been that long?
We went fishing, shot some pool, and drank way too much. It was lots o' fun.
Came back to Colorado early today with a message from Sarah on the machine (for those not in the know, Sarah is my ex-fiance of 5 years that I seperated from about 3 weeks ago). I tried to return her call but got her machine. We're trying to do the friend thing. Because, well, despite everything we were each other's best friend for 5 years. I called her mother to see how everyone was getting along over there. We had a nice conversation.
Anyway, on the Sarah issue...I'm doing a lot better these days. It's still hard sometimes. It will be for a while I imagine. Mostly it's just hard not having her around. Not even in a romantic sense necesarily. I just miss her being there.
People keep talking to me about me going out and dating again. I'm not so sure about that just yet. I never liked dating in the first place. And now it seems even weirder.
Anyhow, it's late and I should try to get some sleep.
