I played hooky from work today....
Does anyone else get the feeling that this country is one fucked up place? I mean shit, the pres. thinks it's o.k. to spy on "terrorist elements", how long before he takes a cue from Nixon and decides the Democrats are terrorists? Only this time there won't be any Woodward & Bernstein--if anyone does report something like that they'll be discredited as anti-american or quietly thrown in Gitmo as an "enemy of freedom". I get the feeling that when the facists take over it won't be brown shirts, jackboots and swastikas--they'll be wrapped in the american flag, carrying a bible, and chanting the pledge of allegiance.
The state of Ohio is fucked too--first we get the distinction of being the home of the wacko that shot Dimebag and now our brainless republican leaders are drafting a law to challenge Roe v. Wade--along with about 5 other states--hasn't Taft fucked this state up enough--or does he want to get one last kick in the crotch in before we vote the moron out?
