eep. I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off lately. Animal Planet is coming to film my work on wednesday (unrelated to my trip although we will tell them about it so they may do something on it). as soon as they finish filming, I run to the airport and leave for dallas/ft. worth, where I have an 8 hour layover. the next morning I fly to baton rouge, and then I drive down to gonzales to volunteer at the lamar-dixon expo center which has been turned into a huge temporary shelter for over 1000 displaced animals. actually, i will either be volunteering here, or (hopefully! hehe) actually be going around breaking in to homes and pulling the puppies and kitties out. It depends where I'm needed most. I stay till monday, but I think I will only work on thursday though sunday, so that I can take the half day we have left before our flight back to drive into New Orleans proper and photograph/videotape the damage. I'm not gonna have a photo op like that again anytime soon.
