"Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits."

And being able to recognise what they say is always very satisfactory... Even if it is just one word most of the time ><
Given that I like to be nice and warm as much as is humanly possible, and also considering that I, the person who was given the nickname "Lizard" due to my constant desire to be at a very specific temperature (then once that glorious state is reached...you bask! mmmmmmm), am currently hovering over a radiator in work with little chance of moving too far from... It's not that cold! ^_^
I have plenty of spare time... I'll probably pick it up after Christmas
I'm learning Japanese because it's where I want to live. Pre-empting that you'll ask my why, I quite frankly have no idea... I think I just like their mix of extremes of modern and tradituib in culture and how such different things can sit so happily side by side
What's your reason? ^^
Hhhmmmm...a guy from my guild in WoW has just posted a message on the guild forum, he apologised for his recent absence from the game and said that he wouldn't be coming back again since his wife has just left him. Irreconcilable differences? No. Infidelity? No. His wife left him because he played WoW too much
This comes after the recent announcement by the Chinese... Read More
I didn't know there'd been a second death! I haven't played WoW yet... It's another pay monthly one, right? I played Everquest for a looong time and haven't bothered with any online ones since then.
I've been learning Japanese on and off for a couple of years now, planning on taking my p.l.3 next December just to prove that I can How about you? ... Anata ga doo ne? (and I don't know if the doo ne is actually proper Japanese, but I picked it up off of animes et c. so it's good enough for me ^^)
For a person who is normally equable to the nth degree I do, occasionally, find myself irationally irritated at the smallest things. Not just *any* old thing of course (as that would kinda negate the equable non?), it's not like I go from calm to simmering rage at the drop of a hat you understand ...but there are certain tiny tiny little things that, when... 'American English' also irks me. Once an American lady attempted to correct my pronunciation of 'aluminium', (I kid you not) although that was more funny than annoying.
Things that really push my anger-buttons are:
Strangers who think they're allowed to touch me, especially those wankers who dare to touch my arse when I'm out with friends at night. The first time they do it, I make it extremely clear that it's not acceptable. If they're stupid enough to do it again, I knock them out. It's a small consolation that I've never got in trouble for that.
Beaurocracy in all its forms.
Having to work on a project in groups of people I have not chosen. They never do enough work, either in terms of quality of quantity, and they only seem to talk about the men who fancy them and celebrities.
Happy Hardcore.
When people don't listen to/acknowledge my opinion after they've asked me for help. That's their prerogative, but the straw that breaks this camel's back is when they disregard my advice, nothing changes and they come moaning to me all over again. I don't want to come across as unsympathetic, but I don't want to hear it.
Hmmm... I think I'd better stop there, before I work myself up.
The US may have stolen the language. But we still own time.
When it's tea time in Britain it is teatime across the *whole* universe. Makes you proud to be British, leather on willow, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, chavs and time... all undisputably British.
I just placed a preorder for the Japanese edition of Howl's Moving Castle! ^^ it should ship on Wednesday and then I shall be a happy chap indeed...if you're yet to experience any of Hayao Miyazaki's films then you really are missing out, nigh on every project he's ever been involved in shows such depth, beauty, creativity and attention to detail that they verge on... Ah, I'm a little ignorant of the intricacies of Japanese animation, but I'm sure I'm going to learn lots in a short time, as Mike's very in to his: He's also quite the artist: not professional like you, but a very enthusiastic (and talented) amateur who specialises in CG graphics.
I sympathise with your frustration about the 'alternative' sleeve designs: Subtleties work just as well in a visual sense as they do in every other, but in these cases, I don't know whether it's the business suits or their target market who fail to appreciate them. Either way, it's galling for all those who do.
I fucking *love* finding new anime to watch after it's been going for a while...I've done that with Naruto, Bleach, Initial D, Full Metal Panic, Love Hina and, now, Full Metal Alchemist. Being able to sit down and watch as many episodes as you want one after the other if great ^^
Not so great when you get up to date though and have to... Read More
haha... well seeming as i've been a bitch to my har and dyed it every colour under the sun, the hairdressers were pretty awesome to sort it out for me.

hehe thanks for your comment! and good luck with taking ragnaros down to you too no we didn't get past the sons part, they spawned at 66%. but they've been pretty good at getting US down so we go for another try next week.
A subtle warning sign that you are on the cusp of losing your temper is when you start threatening inanimate objects...y'know, somethingorother isn't working properly, or your computer is crashing a lot, or something's not printing...whatever...you eventually become so irate that what little perspicacity you cling to goes out the window and the threats begin:
"I swear if you don't fucking cocking work this twatting... Read More
Scott Adams (writer of Dilbert and all round incredibly witty chap) has started writing a blog...that in itself is not an essentially noteworthy fact (unless you like Scott Adams of course) as *everyone* has a blog...myself included. What *is* noteworthy though is the note he sent out to DNRC members illustrating the thought process of the potential blogger...
I used to use a livejournal, but never told any of my friends I had one because I didn't want them to know about any of the things I wrote about in it
I wanted people to read it, but not people I actually knew. Ah, the wonders of the internet!
The Blues Brothers is such a great film...my dad, brother and I used to dance in front of the tv when the songs came on
