Harumph! Why is it that whenever I go to the doctors with a legitiment ailment of some description it always "gets better" on the way in? I could endure whatever it is for days, weeks, even months, but the same thing would happen...the second I cross the threshold of the doctors surgery it magics itself away. This is probably along the same lines as the memory erasing device above the doorway of all record shops (so you forget what you went in there for...despite the fact that you've been wanting whatever album it should be for ages) and the aura that all IT people exude (so that your computer, which was an unresponsive lump of plastic and metal in your hands, chirps happily into life the second they come into the room...enabling them to enjoy their favourite moment; the supercilious sneer). I think it might actually be the exact opposite of the "Indian Burial Ground" thing...all doctors surgerys must be built on medically consecrated ground or something.

This, of course, then leaves you sat in the doctors lair feeling mysteriously chipper again...giving the doctor the chance to practice their supercilious sneer whilst monologuing something like "Munchausen's Syndrome acting up again is it?". Bah!

Anyhoo, Japanese lesson tonight...as usual i've done none of the work I promised myself i'd do during the week...although that may have something to do with the inordinately large amount of real work i've had to do instead...ho-hum smile
fpkk:
I was amazed at how it did all the serial killer stuff first and better and still no one really credits it. Those cell scenes were Silence of the Lambs x10. The weird MOs and people asking what it's all about were right out of Se7en. I was amazed by how good it was.

I don't get the doctor thing but I do get the record thing. The IT thing doesn't apply because I'm a software developer. biggrin
