you know, somethings that are absolutly phenominal and you think can't get any better usually dont.

but then i watched the extended version of the two towers just right now, and you know what?

why the fuck wasn't that the theatrical release? they cut out loads of useful scenes. scenes that could have really helped flesh out people's understanding of middle earth and the true nature of the one ring and the line of numeanor ect. got axed... why? most likely to make for a shorter movie... but man, peter jackson really made this tolkien geek smile even wider than i did in the theaters... the battle of helms deep is still just as breath taking, and i can only imagine what the final battle on the plains of mordor is going to look like in return of the king.

i think i just came myself with geeky fanboy glee
