NYC -

A few observations about nyc, well a few observations about the jeans people wear in nyc. I met a friend for lunch last week who like myself is originally from NJ/Philadelphia. She has been here for roughly 6 years and is throughly NYCisized. I mean she has pseudo hipster hair, tighter jeans and layered clothing. Her first comment upon walking up to her was "oh those are baggy jeans". When i was younger i thought for some time that i was a rapper and wore jeans that could fit three people into them with my unlaced timberland boots. Those years are far behind me and i definitely wear slimmer cut jeans so was surprised by her comment. Except that in comparison to every other NYC man (and european men total) my jeans were baggy once again. In Philly you dress comfortable becuase there is no sense of style in philly really. I mean people have style but you can easily get into most places with sneakers and sweats if you really wanted (except for olde city but only NJ people go there). So alas i decided that id go shopping for jeans.

There was a problem though.

I discovered that the only jeans on sale in NYC have either bird poo on them or have holes in them. On top of that they are double - triple the cost of what jeans should be (i like to put my limit around $40 - $50). So you pay more money for jeans that have pigeon shit on them and take up less fabric. Something about that doesnt seem right to me. Then i looked around and found that indeed the men of NYC enjoy wearing these Jeans. Im quite perplexed by this. All i want is a pair of jeans that are whole and clean, but alas it seems impossible in this city. I dont know what to do.
