We were all set to go to Grass Valley this weekend to spend Valentine's Day with Jeff's family, until about 7am on Friday when Jeff's mom called me saying not to bother because they had gotten 1 1/2 to 2 feet of snow the previous night. She said it was still coming down, HEAVY. And there was no way we would make up up the hill.

So instead we slept in, then ran some errands and paid some bills on Friday after a delicious breakfast at Pepper's, our favorite restaurant. While we were there, we were informed by our favorite waitress, Rachel, that they were doing a really special menu for Valentine's Day dinner the next night, and we should stop by. As of that point, we still had no idea what we were going to do for Valentine's Day, so we made that our ultimate plan.

We both ended up waking up late on Saturday, and when we did, we were both starving. Jeff, being the amazing, wonderful hubbster he is, offered to run and get food and bring it home because "my wife shouldn't feel she has to cook on VALENTINE'S DAY!" biggrin So he went, came back, we ate, then he went into the kitchen and was gone for awhile, so I called after him asking what he was doing in there, and he said "this..." so I got up and went to see. There, sitting on my desk in the office, were the most beautiful 2 dozen roses ever! He's so thoughtful!

The rest of the day we kind of just lazed around, watching movies and tv all day, then we got ready and headed to dinner! Jeff looked great in his gray slacks and charcoal grey shirt, and I let him pick out my dress, and he said I was beautiful (so sweet). We were SO glad we decided to go back to Pepper's for dinner! I had a delicous steak with shrimp scampi, and Jeff had the Chicken Alfredo. Our meals came with champange, as well as dessert (I had cheesecake, he had chocolate cake and they were GIANT pieces) and cost less than half of what we would have spent on a regular dinner!

After that we came home and cuddled, and watched some more movies until I had to go to bed (because I work early on Sunday's).
