A 21 year old Marine, Lance Corporal Nicholas OBrien from my home town was killed in Afghanistan last week. I unknowingly came across his funeral procession yesterday. I had no idea what was going on; I just noticed thousands of people with American flags standing by the road. I had to stop as the hearse came by followed by his family and friends. How sad to see a young man who had a full scholarship to play baseball in college but instead joined the Marines to serve his country, his life is now over and his parents are left without their son. Sometimes you just dont realize what other people are going through until you see it in person.
