It is annoying me greatly that as soon as the press publish the fact that a record number of people have complained about something, suddenly EVERYONE has to complain, and the numbers go through the roof.

I have few comments to make as to whether the complaints were valid as i don't watch the show in question [ although i hear both my daughter and...

I have been having fun.

Laid back, un-hyped, slow paced FUN

And it was good.

smile

Oh.
And I've been thinking that I might change my name on here.
Tobie is from when I was a t school, and i think its perhaps time to put that behind me.
I don't have anything firm that I feel is 'me' yet though.

and i just love this...

Nearly time to think about my New Year Resolutions.
Or rather, what ONE small thing can i alter in my life to have a positive impact.

I used to do the whole 'this year I'm going to get thin/fit/learn a new language/get up earlier/add any number of big obvious changes that I'll do for a couple of days/weeks and then give up on, but last...

Most of my meals had something green in and some even contained vegetables surreal

I don't have resolute resolutions as such but low-level background radiation type of things I want to do - the trick is to maintain the presence of the idea without getting stressed over it. Fore xample over the course of the year I thought through which charities I'd actually like to support now rather than those who badger money out of me all the time through endless badgering. I also maximised the tax relief and got my company to match my contribution through a scheme they have. So now I don't get the hassle of the phone calls/mailings/raffle ticket/product catalogues and they get more than twice as much money.

Less than 5 hours to go and counting.

I've just finished wrapping the last present.
I THOUGHT I'd finished about a hour ago and then Dave rememberedsome that he'd bought for Jo.
and then after I'd finished those i found some cd's for Em that I hadn't wrapped.

But I really HAVE finished now.

I think.

These events are one of the reasons that I'm feeling on edge right now.

I remember how it felt when the Yorkshire Ripper was out there and killing, but it was over such a long time....

And I didn't have a daughter who was 16.

I know that at the moment I'm no where near whats going on, and I'm totally thankful for it, but...

yup the world does suck alot alot of the time, i wish we lived lives that were just safe as a given...being a mother and a lover i worry all the time about my little bloomsbury family here x
harleen:
It really is upsetting, I'm sure the guy/s wil be caught soon, as he/they are being really blatant and will slip up somehow. My aunt was followed by the Yorkshire Ripper on the night that he attacked another girl, I can't imagine how the families of these girls are feeling.

I have icecream in my freezer.
I have this months box of chocolates from the the tasting club in my dining room.
And a bar of the most gorgeous strawberry and paprica chocolate in my bag.
I have enough willpower to stop myself opening them but not enough to open them and just have one.

I hate it when i feel the need to wallow...

First let me say that although the postsecret exhibition was rather smaller than I expected, by the time I got to the end i was feeling like I had just been badly emotionally hurt and was holding back the tears.
And given that I'd already seen a fair few of the postcards on the site, I guess it says just how much of an impact...
