I've just got back from taking two 8 year old girls to the design museum.

God, can they TALK!!!!!!!!!!!

We had fun though.
We made surfer t shirts, flip flops and necklaces.
We saw Tower Bridge open up to let a tall masted ship go through.
We had ice cream on the grass.
They did an impromptu dance performance at the ampitheatre by County Hall.
We ate burgers on the train station platform.
I got to sound all knowledgeable about southwark Cathedral, The London Dungeon, the Tower of London, The Clink and loads of other places that I take for granted, but which they hadn't seen before.

It was slightly marred by some poor guy who had a seizure under Tower Bridge, but the police were there in about 2 minutes and got an ambulance and made him safe and comfortable.
One good thing about cctv i suppose.

I spotted this at a gallery.

And I want to go back and have a better look at the rest of the pieces.
The pic doesn't do it justice, in reality the effect is spectacular.


Now I'm going to make a big coffee and wait for my feet to stop throbbing.

Bloody Hell

I've just had a call from my mum to say that her boyfriend is in hospital having had a heart attack on thursday.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
