I am really proud of my eldest girlie.

Today she faced one of her worst fears , and although she was trembling like mad and couldn't stop herself weeping a little, she let the dentist do the work she needed.
I'm not sure why she was so frightened..I can't say that I LIKE the dentist, but I'm not scared of going there, and both of the girls have had regular check-ups, so they would be comfortable with what goes on, but somehow she was terrified.

I'm just glad that she overcame it.
smile

And on another note, i found this
just SO depressing.

Though not as much as this

Why would we drop immunisation when the rates are rising?
I don't have the figures , and i may be completely wrong, but i had thought that tb had been all but wiped out here untill recently, mainly BECAUSE all schoolchildren were given the BCG?

Emily's step-mother is so terrified of the dentist that her dad has to make the appointments, not tell her, and somehow get her into the area on the day so she has no time to get worked up about it eeek I've never understood the fear as I don't mind the dentist, but then again I know that some people aren't shit-scared of spiders like I am, so I always try and make allowances for other's fears smile

I give Evans six monnths to a year before he starts throwing hissy fits so they fire him, because he does that at every company he works for biggrin

Good for her. smile Not my favourite place either although my dentist is good.

As for the TB immunisation news - that sounds just like the kind of apathetic, complacent crap that has caused or contributed to disasters in the past. Why can't the cretins learn from history. mad
