My fashion sense went into overload this weekend when i was surrounded by a convention of fur trappers wives and wannabee girl band members.
Where was I?
Alton Towers.

We took the girls away for a couple of days.
Made it a slow easy drive up by stopping over on friday night at one hotel and having fun in the pool and sauna, and then headed off to the Alton Towers hotel on saturday so we could spend the afternoon at splash landings and then do the theme park on the sunday.

I should have got an idea from the way some of the famillies were dressed at the very informal buffet style restaurant on the saturday night, but the real gobsmacking came on the sunday.

When we got to Alton towers.

On a pleasant easter sunday [read cool and slightly drizzly]

And suddenly were confronted where ever i looked by women in perfect [if rather orange] make-up, stillettos, and floor length fur coats.
And if they weren't in sight then there were pairs of young girls....i can't be specific on thier ages since their make-up was thicker, even more orange, and appeared to have been airbrushed from the same stencil.
Now i love shoes.
and I admit to drooling over some of the ones i saw the orange girls wearing.
but would i have worn the 6 inch rainbow stacked perspex heels and the tiny thong straps to Alton Towers?
No.
I bloody wouldn't.
I mean , you walk for miles round that place.

If I'm generous, some of them looked fantastic, if they were shooting a girlband video, and were rather less orange.
Or if they were off clubbing.

We had fun though.

And now i wish i was back there doing it all again.
