i am an angry citizen.

in my night class, we were talking about our profession, social work.
people in the social work field or going to school for social work are there for a reason.
we are wounded healers. we have been hurt and we want to help those who have been hurt in such a way too.
we are angry about something. something we want to work with to get the word out and change. something that needs to be changed.

things are not the way they should.
people should not have a place to live or job decide their fate based on the color of their skin.
1 in 3 women should not have been beaten, coerced into sex, or somehow abused in her life.
people should not be having problems all over this country to pay their mortgage.
this country should not be worried whether they'll have a job next week.

this country should not be in the state that it is in.
we can blame all we want, but now is the time to get out of this situation and make the choice.
i hope you're as angry as i am and want something done.
