So sunday morning my cali cat was acting really weird. She was secluding herself and acting "grumpy." Sunday afternoon my boyfriend came home from work and she didn't get up at all to greet him and didn't look at him at all. Also really weird. She threw up a couple of times and i thought well maybe she just didn't feel well but when she gets rid of her hairball she normally feels better. We went out shopping and when we came back we found Cali in the same position. Well she got up and meowed really loud and it was like she was in severe pain. Then she ran into the room where her litter box is and threw up several times but it was only white liquid. Monday she did the same thing only without the throwing up. She was very lethargic and didn't get get up much and wouldn't look at us. She wouldn't eat or drink anything. I called every vet in town and no one would see her for less than $30 and that didn't include medicine or any blood work or x rays. and they couldn't even tell me a ball park range of how much any of that would be. I cried all day feeling bad for not being able to bring my baby to the doctor because of being fired and not getting full pay from my new job yet due to training. So all day i watched her just lay there and not eat and not drink or move or look at us. I prayed for her to get better not knowing what else to do. This morning i found her hiding under the couch not moving. She just stared at me. I picked her up and placed her in her papason chair and covered her up with her favorite fleece blanket. I told her I loved her and went back to bed. This was probably around 1:30 in the morning. For about an hour i prayed and begged God to help her get better and to not take her from me. I prayed and prayed.
Today she's doing a little better. She's eating a little bit and drinking water. She even cleaned herself for the first time in a couple of days. She's looking up when we call her and she's walking around a little bit. i think she's on the mend.
