I'm sorry to hear about your brother, and I hope all goes well. As far as discharging him before it's time.. it's all about the funding. Usually suicide watch is between 24 and 48 hours, and rehab is between 3 and 5 days. Your state decides this.. in Ohio suicide watch is 24 hours, and rehab 3 days. State funds the programs, and they do not have the money to run the programs the way they should, or like the goverment could!
