I have a consulting firm that’s interested me and I’m trying to do a phone interview with them but work keeps throwing stupid training (which I don’t need, because it's a rehash of the same stupid bullshit when I was in the Army) and meetings (today’s was pointless, and I could have taken the hiring manager's call today but didn't because I thought the meeting was going to take hours like my boss said) at me. Of course the one week I need to have free I don’t have free...
I also had an interview with a marketing firm on Monday, but I wasn't impressed with them...isn't it supposed to be the other way around? (I think that company was more for kids who had just graduated from college and needed an entry-level position.)

Ahhh corporate bullshit...how I do not miss it. Even when I worked in retail we had constant 'meetings' and 'training' that were utterly useless, pointless, and a waste of payroll. It's like, "Here, we're gonna sit you down for a few hours and tell you stuff you already know. However, this time we're going to tell you using powerpoint presentations and pie charts!"

@iggy Lol I hear you. Ironically, I AM trying to get into the corporate world from a different industry. I think there's bullshit wherever you go, and you just have to learn to deal with it the best you can. And today's "3 hour training" (which caused me to miss a chance to talk to said hiring manager again) ended up only lasting an hour and a half, with additional bullshit from the "boss" that nobody cares about. I really need to get out of my current field.
