what is it about nostalgia?

i wanted to see the old coach today... but decided to just look at the awards and old photos. sure enough, the team was up there... as well as clippings from where some of them are now.

i found the memorial for ivan... talk about a wicked flashback... they'd created two awards in his memory, which was somehow warming to see. they also had his player of the year award in there... the one that he died on his way to receive. things come, and they must also pass...

he was a phenomenal soccer player.

i'm feeling rather happy today... despite my memories... as it is, it seems to be that good things are on the horizon...

while i was down at the beach house destroying sheetrock... i found a small preying mantis chillin' on the window screen... soooo... i took lots 'o pics of it... dunno how they look, but it was a worthy distraction...
