Several days later Murray asked me about a tourist attraction known as the most photographed barn in America. We drove twenty-two miles into the country around Farmington. There were meadows and apple orchards. White fences trailed through the rolling fields. Soon the signs started appearing. THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED BARN IN AMERICA. We counted five signs before we reached the site. There were forty cars...

What a frumpy mood... whatever

Seattle was good, got kind of a late start but the timing was perfect. Came into a city that was being patiently marched through by fog. Walked off the bus into a smell of woodstoves and a feeling of detached nostalgia--the place looked familiar, but it was not the same city that I'd grown up in. The fog helped reinforce this...

Basically, I get inexplicably weepy and hide in a corner till I can get the right balance of full-spectrum lightbulbs, herbs and exercise. I figure I'll have gotten that by sometime next week. Damn dark rainy days coming early this year...

Man, I don't get radtastic discounts at my not-so-shitty job! But then again, the places I'd like to get discounts at paid lousily, and the hours su-u-u-u-cked. So hey!

Here's to happy job situations! biggrin
xxanastasiaxx:
Haha..
no you can't even imagine!
I woke up and thought..
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!
then my brained kicked in..
needless to say it needed some work..
wine and the reproduction of womanly parts
do not mix.
it was awful..

You should have seen my model of a placenta (labled) woohoo!
puke

What to do when a frumpy, fog inspired mood comes around? Put on a vintage prom dress and tiara..
oh wait that might now work for you..
but at least it would make you laugh.. biggrin

What kind of day is it today?

I saw something yesterday that would make a interesting picture..
going back with my camera
and then it's back to reading and studying for me.
*sigh..

......and so begins a new era.

what eras have existed in your lifetime?

so far, i've got, off the top of my head, a couple...

- The too-short, fun-timed Kid Era, which is often referred to along with the phrase "I remember when you were *this* tall"...

- The Teen Era is one that is comprised of several smaller "ages" that overlapped and often existed...

i don't know about eras, but i can sure as shit tell you about errors. i'm all about errors.
the_bear:
Hey up, thanks for your comment.
'Twat era' lasted from when I was 14 to 18, and consisted of being a twat.
'James era', the four years I was with my ex and didn't really change much.
'Fucked-in-the-Head era', the year after I left my ex and couldn't figure out why, also the period when I gopt into some fucked-up stuff,
Present era, I'm just trying to make myself a better all-round person, y'know?
biggrin

!?!?

grrr... of course it makes sense that five consecutive months of waiting results in numerous opportunities that interfere with each other, forcing me to forfeit possibilities that would be MORE beneficial than others that i'd have taken because they were guaranteed...

in other words, i'm going to have to give up the chance to get a job that not only would i love, but...

First rule is to keep the verse true, even if it hurts you.

It's funny how my brutally honest writings have been the most acclaimed... though the ones that reach too deep have yet to see more than my eyes.

(This portion was a long, long rant about honesty in writing and the fears of popular culture and how various writers become popular for the...

I tend to flit. Arranging flowers, then crochet, maybe next it'll be plants, photography, meditative things I think is the underlying theme.

Okay, you're officially Well-rounded. biggrin I totally agree about wanting to walk away from it all some time. Move out to the coast, go sell plants from my house, walk on the beach all day. As soon as we pay off all those things first, I tell you what...

And your heart will race with joy for having known these times, this place, and those terrible, wonderful people

Do you keep the letters of correspondences past? Do you pull them out from time to time to read over them, chuckling every now and then at the inside jokes that you still remember... ?

blush thanks... I got into cameras... hmm... I don't know, reallly... just when I get interested in something I throw myself in wholesale. I have a tact for picking up knowledge too... I think I must have a pretty good memory.

I have a whole several folders of old handwritten letters. Mostly they make me sad. But emails. They make me laugh smile
