Me and Rebecca go to the Dungeon last night (local-ish goth night spot) she has many vodka+coke's, I have a couple of beers, we arrived at 9, left at 12:35, no sooner than getting on to the duel carridgeway, the lights hit, I pull over, get out of the car (remember folks this is the UK, they won't shoot you for getting out of your car) and ask the policeman what he wants, I shall transcribe the conversation for you below
me : "Can I help you?"
cop ; "why did you get out of the car?"
me ; "because it is very difficult to have a sensible conversation behind glass"
cop ; "Are you trying to be funny?"
me ; "yes, it's not going so well really is it"
cop ; "if you could simply blow into this tube please, as I think you are drunk"
me ; "Well I was'nt drunk when I arrived here and I don't think I've gotten drunk since I got out of the car, so sure, why not"
* puff like mad start coughing, foul the test
cop ; "Sir, I need you to perform the test again"
me ; "cough cough cough cough cough cough cough"
cop : "if you fail to complete the test three times I am obliged to arrest you"
me ; "cough cough cough cough, I'm asthmatic to you mind?"
cop ; "please blow into the tube again"
* blow into tube, get a little nervous, wait for it wait for it,
cop ; "Sir your free to go"
me ; "Told you I was'nt bloody drunk."
Scared the shitting crap out of me, no way am I ever touching anything even remotely connected to alcohol if I have to drive anyplace again.
