I had a couple of cheap feather boas years ago, one hot pink and one neon green, but they used to shed all over the place, and then I became allergic to them. The last time I had an asthma attack a couple years ago, it was triggered by the down feathers that were leaking out of a sleeping bag that a friend had left at my house. With all the new synthetic compounds constantly being developed, I wonder if a company has, or will, come out with a faux feather boa for vegans or folks with feather allergies?
