Thursday night saw some good old fashioned rock unleashed upon the patrons of Fortitude Valley's "Ric's Cafe & Bar". Post Punk garage stalwarts "The Purgatories" kicked the night off with their Zeppelin drenched guitar and bass heavy dirges. Living up to their namesake, the band members evoke a sense of temporary torment, a reconciling punishment for lesser sins,... Read More
Day one allergies seem to be under control after filling myself with appropriate medicine.
The rest of the day was spent ogling DSLRs, and reading Greek philosophy and temporal/quantum mechanics.
Its all left my head rather sore!
Got some stuff planned this week. Tomorrow I am assisting the mother in the purchase of a digital television. Tuesday is doctor day. Wednesday evening I'm joining some... Read More
In other news, a friend of mine, who happens to be one of the most amazingly talented visual artsits I have ever seen (and also has shot for this site, or at least for at least one local SG that I am aware of) sent me an SMS this morning whilst I was at a terribly dull and redundant meeting. It said that after I... Read More
Indeed, I understand the hustle and bustle. I'm actually more of a hermit on the hillside kind of girl. I love expanses of desert or forest before me, and not another soul to be seen for miles and miles. One day I will be rich instead of good looking. ;P
I decided that I should probably write more.
So have made a public blog, which will be mostly about my adventures in the arts, retrospectives and reviews etc.
The first post was an expansion of what I sleepily spewed on here this morning, and can be found here

Indeed. Simple people are never a brilliant thing.
I love Sydney. I like to stand in the crowds and listen to various languages being spoken. I spent some time in Tazzy and would love to get back sometime.
My experience of them wasn't so formative. I worked backwards from Metallica and Megadeth and eventually discovered the BS vinyls that my old man had grown out of. There's something great about listening to them on a vinyl that is almost worn out from overuse.
sorry to hear about your medical situation, its beyond fucked for you, heres hoping that if they can't find an effective treatment/cure that your at least comfortable
Update on that, got a call this afternoon from the doc, and i have all the blood markers for a pretty shitty, chronic and degenerative muscular disorder.
Will see a specialist over the next couple of weeks for a tissue biopsy and diagnosis, but he said its pretty likely.
Which means about 30 odd years of mobility.
And people wonder why I'm so 'negative' all... Read More
Oh that's really bad! Is there anything you can do that will help in the long term? Or will you find that out after you see the specialist?
I hope the Shiraz, Led Zeppelin and ravioli help your evening. I had pizza and cheesy garlic bread. Grossness and a strong desire to go to bed. Coraline is making me sleepy. Bed sounds amazing actually. I have another early start and loong day... Bali trip can't happen too soon...
When do you go to Sydney? I am going to send emails off tomorrow after work, I really wanna come down there. x feel better soon, I hope you get sleep tonight.
