Pre-New Years Wish

I wish that from now until 11:59pm sunday night
I will be spared from hearing the phrase,
"See you next year"
I know that I've expressed this wish on more than one occasion
But some of you don't appear to be listening
Some of you still think saying this is somehow funny
That it's witty
Or clever
You are mistaken
And so
To those deluded enough to think any of the above
Please stop it
And to those of you who understand where I'm coming from
Each and every time you hear, "See you next year" spoken in the next few days
Call the speaker out on it
Embarrass them
They fucking deserve it
If they didn't know any better, then now they will
It is your duty to do so
