PB&J

For the record
I'm in the middle of my second peanut butter and jelly sandwich of the day
Both on whole wheat
Not like mom used to make em
She used Wonder Bread
Cut in triangles
Sometimes with crust
Sometimes without
Sometimes grape jelly
Sometimes strawberry
With a glass of chocolate milk
Eating in front of the tv
Laying on my stomach on the floor
Flipping back and forth on the old brown cable box with cord attached to the tv
I can still here the clicking as I pushed the buttons over and over
From Voltron, to Transformers, to USA Channel cartoons like Grape Ape & Jabberjaw, to Plasticman with Fangface and Mighty Man & Yukk
My mom would be vacuuming behind me
During commercials I'd jump up and run to the kitchen
Drop my plate in the sink
Mom would give me more milk and would wash the jelly off my face and hands and wonder if i ate any of the jelly at all or if I just rolled around in it
I miss my mom
