I Look Like A Monkey & I Smell Like One Too

Yesterday I turned 30
I got to spend the day with an amazing person
I had the perfect old guinea dinner in the perfect old guinea restaurant:
Cheese ravioli
Mozzarella and fresh tomato
Stuffed eggplant
And too much wine
Which was followed by drinking with some swell folks
Nice
Low key
No birthday shots except for the last drink of the night when I realized I had to be up for work in less than 5 hours
In all
It was a good day
No one sang "Happy Birthday"
Which was for the best
I never liked it when its sung to me
Up until the age of 9 I cried every year on my birthday
At the table
In front of my birthday cake
Maybe it was the attention
Or the off key singing
Or the fact that I had to wait for cake
Or maybe my fathers right and I do have a screw loose

So Im 30
30 isnt bad so far
