No, not dead - though it has been almost 18 years since he has released new solo material... Apparently he has been studying his 1978 solo album to help influence the aesthetics for his next release. Though, truth be told, I'm not sure how much that'll help. New York Groove was written by Russ Ballard, after all... smile
