so i think i need to stop writing about nerdy things, and instead write entries about emotions and ... happy bunnies?

kendo katy emailed me today, she's 22, has an honours degree in biology and generally is cool.
the age thing threw me at first, i would've put her down as 19, 20 tops. in my experience girls do not like younger guys, but in all fairness i'm 21 in.... 21 days hah. 1 year is no big deal, but 2 sounds like one. i'm not going to tell her how old i am.

altogether i've had a pretty shitty day. sat by myself all day thinking about nothing. several people have disappointed me today. i dont want to have to go to work tomorrow. what makes things worse is that i dont have a book selected to read. i'll need to pick one!

kam is preening himself, i fed him today. it wasn't easy. he was hanging from the roof, with his foot jammed right into the gap around the edge of the door. so if i had slid it back i'd have amputated his foot! i had to sit and wait for him to move. so i was kneeling out in the garden, in the hot hot sun, waiting, staring at him, for about half an hour. i put the box of crickets next to him, in he hope that it would tempt him to move. so i'm staring at these ugly bastard crickets for an age.

it was interesting actually..

when i put the cricket cage out, they all crept from their hiding places and began basking. i then put a small box with one cricket (todays food) on top, kam got interested and moved a little towards it. the cricket began chirping loudly. all the other crickets below then immediately hid.

was the top cricket alerting them all to danger? it certainly seemed that way.

anyway, story ends with that cricket being eaten.

moral of the story?

shut up, let everyone else die, you might very well live.


EDIT:
i just found out orbital played their last gig a the glastonbury festival and i'm PISSED. i always wanted to see them, and now i cant, i dont believe i didn't get to go.
